Nancy A. Shobe,

|
Nancy Shobe launched her writing career at the age of eight, when she would craft stories on her father’s drafting board, illustrate them, and then sell them door-to-door in her neighborhood for 25 cents. She has continued to hone her craft and aggressively promote the literary and fine arts scene ever since.
In Chicago, she worked for an in-house advertising agency until the “Windy City” blew her west to California. There, she became a special events coordinator for the Los Angeles Music Center. Stints as a marketing director for venues in the entertainment and tourism industries led to fundraising and marketing projects for a variety of educational, arts, and social service organizations throughout Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Counties.
Nancy’s whirlwind adventures around southern California resulted in her writing the 400-page travel book, Insider’s Guide to Santa Barbara, 4th Edition. She’s also pens guidebooks for the Santa Barbara Conference & Visitors Bureau, the Central Coast Tourism Council, and the Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau and writes wine articles for the international Touring and Tasting magazine. Nancy publishes a quarterly column for the regional Coastal Woman magazine and was a weekly columnist for the former South Coast Beacon newspaper.
Nancy has published hundreds of non-fiction articles, a chapter in a book on fund raising for independent schools, and a personal essay in an international magazine. She is also a published photographer, creator of Yoga-Write Workshop, and novelist currently in the midst of securing representation.
Known for her quick thinking and brainstorming genius, Nancy combines the creativity of the muse with marketing savvy to make your writing projects sing in perfect pitch to the widest possible audience. No challenge is too great, no project too small.
